This initiative, launched by the Spanish Confederation of Associations of Young Entrepreneurs (CEAJE) seeks to motivate young entrepreneurs to start their activity in the environmental sector, as well as facilitating the development of their project in this field.

This initiative, launched by the Spanish Confederation of Associations of Young Entrepreneurs (CEAJE) seeks to motivate young entrepreneurs to start their activity in the environmental sector, as well as facilitating the development of their project in this field.

The project seeks to raise awareness and motivate young entrepreneurs about entrepreneurial activity in the environmental sector or emerging activities with potential reconversion into sustainable activities. But, in addition, it aims to facilitate young people the development of an entrepreneurial project related to the environment, the knowledge, training and advice necessary to achieve it.

Another objective of the initiative is to consolidate the projects undertaken through support and improvement mechanisms in environmental matters, such as:

• Implement environmental management systems and responsible energy consumption as elements of competitive improvement for companies and those who are part of them.
• Reduce the consumption of energy, water and raw materials and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
• Develop products and/or processes using procedures with low environmental impact as a business opportunity.

The project is aimed at young entrepreneurs (under 40 years old):

• With a business idea related to the sectors of organic agriculture and livestock, agro-energy crops, renewable energies, environmental education and information, information and communication technologies, sustainable tourism, transport and mobility, the automotive sector and services.
• Whose environmental business initiatives (created or not) need financing for their growth.
• Who want to implement new business lines/strategies that represent an environmental improvement in their companies.

Through the initiative, training will be provided to 1,020 recipients, although the project will reach a total of 2,655 workers. Ten new companies will also be created in the environmental sector or business lines/strategies that represent an environmental improvement in the existing ones.

On the other hand, 25% of the students trained will incorporate in their entrepreneurship projects, companies or new lines and/or business strategies specific actions of business eco-efficiency strategies, ecological marketing campaigns or CSR and environmental management.
