The project aims to improve employment in the intensive agriculture sector in Almeria, Malaga and Granada, taking advantage of the synergy generated by the activity of protection and respect for the environment.

The project aims to improve employment in the intensive agriculture sector in Almeria, Malaga and Granada, taking advantage of the synergy generated by the activity of protection and respect for the environment.

This initiative aims to raise awareness, inform and train at least 5% of the workers who work in this sector, focusing on immigrant workers and women. The aim is to implement guidelines of respect for the environment based both on the guidelines and recommendations set by the European Union, and on the new opportunities offered by R+D+i.

The specific objectives to be achieved are:

• The creation of jobs, mainly in activities related to rural hygiene and integrated control, thanks to awareness and sensitization.
• The increase in the skills of employees and employers thanks to the training that will be provided, which will result in the improvement of professional performance as well as being carried out from an environmental sustainability point of view.
• The start-up of new business activities, as well as the incubator of environmentally responsible agricultural enterprises, thanks to the new knowledge acquired.
• The promotion of organic farming, as set out in the continuous guidelines of the European Union that force us to be continuously reinventing traditional activity.
• The promotion towards ecological and environmentally friendly measures, such as integrated control and biological control, which will allow us to talk about sustainable intensive agriculture.
