DESCRIPTION: Sustainable Beekeeping as a Source of Rural Employment is a project implemented by the Provincial Council of Pontevedra and co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Empleaverde Program of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition, which aims to improve employability in the beekeeping sector, especially for those people with difficulties in accessing the labor market.

What does the Project consist of? It consists of the execution of training actions, both face-to-face and mixed. The following is a breakdown of the 12 training activities Modern and Sustainable Beekeeping

Presential Actions: Pontevedra (3 Actions). Zaragoza (1 Share).

Mixed Actions: Pontevedra (4 Actions). Zaragoza (4 Shares).

Addressees: The Training Actions will be aimed at unemployed people residing in the Autonomous Communities of Galicia and Aragon.

Objectives: To train interested persons to start up and maintain a modern beekeeping operation, providing information on possible productive orientations, promoting new management and marketing methods through the use of new technologies.

Increased labor insertion and job creation in rural areas. To improve employability in the beekeeping sector, especially for those people with difficulties in accessing the labor market.
