The “Green Jobs” report was created to shed light on the impacts that the transition to green economies will have on work, companies and the usual way of earning a living.
The International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) and the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) have launched the Green Jobs initiative to help realise the potential of green jobs and support a positive labour market transition to climate change.
As part of this joint initiative, the report of the same name, “Green Jobs”, was published in December 2008, prepared by the Worldwatch Institute with the technical assistance of the Global Labor Institute at Cornell University, and commissioned and funded by UNEP, ILO, IOE and ITUC. in order to shed light on the impacts that the transition to green economies will have on work, on companies and on the usual way of earning a living.
For this reason, the International Department of the Biodiversity Foundation supports the publication and distribution of the UNEP, ILO, IOE and ITUC report “Green Jobs”. To this end, new copies of the executive summary of the “Green Jobs” report are printed and disseminated, the Spanish edition of which is available only online.
