EmpleaXúquer: learning by working to restore, promote and protect the Júcar river ecosystem

The project aims to improve the skills and competencies of more than 35 unemployed people in La Ribera (Valencia) for the development of restoration, conservation and promotion of river areas in the Júcar River.
The actions of the project aim to cover the training needs detected for the promotion of aquatic ecosystems, through practical training and the hiring of two priority occupations linked to the conservation and promotion of river ecosystems:
- Laborer or ecological restoration worker: in charge of carrying out actions for the restoration and maintenance of restored aquatic ecosystems; and
- Nature promotion agents: in charge of boosting actions to disseminate, raise awareness and promote Mediterranean river ecosystems.
