Empowering to Transform: Nature-Based Solutions for Water Management

Empleaverde+ program

This project promotes the implementation of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) to improve water management in Moriles. Through the training of the 12 participants, green employment and the transition to sustainable management of water resources are promoted.

The program combines theoretical and practical training in techniques such as watershed restoration, revegetation, aquifer recharge and integration of green and gray infrastructures. In addition, it develops skills in leadership, communication and project management, essential for the effective application of Nature-Based Solutions.

With an inclusive approach, the course ensures accessibility for people with disabilities and promotes equity and diversity. After the training, 8 participants will be hired for 6 months to develop a technical office of Nature-Based Solutions in the municipality, in charge of designing and executing water management projects. The methodology includes project-based learning, real problem-solving, and participation in field activities

This initiative not only strengthens the employability of the participants, but also contributes to the sustainable development of Moriles, providing concrete solutions for water management and directly benefiting the community.
