Environmental training for workers in the hunting sector

Empleaverde program

The objective of the project is the training and qualification of agricultural workers linked to guarding, guarding and surveillance work in hunting reserves.

The objective of the project is the training and qualification of agricultural workers linked to guarding, guarding and surveillance work in hunting reserves.

In this way, it is proposed to create the bases of a training plan for workers in the agricultural sector, through the use of new technologies and new pedagogical resources; to improve the qualification (professionalisation, awareness and specialisation) of agricultural workers linked to natural areas, especially those linked to guarding, custody, surveillance and hunting activities in the field of biodiversity management and protection of native wildlife; to value a sector whose employees directly influence biodiversity and ecosystems due to their active presence in the territory; to raise awareness of the need to eliminate practices and habits of agricultural workers and PRYMES that do not comply with environmental regulations; harmonizing hunting activities with biodiversity and the use and management of the territory; and to create an advisory network for the workers of the group through direct contact with the educators of the training plan.

The project is aimed at workers in SMEs, micro-SMEs or self-employed workers in the agricultural sector, linked to hunting activity. In particular, the recipients are guards of farms and hunting reserves, whose main functions consist of the surveillance of the hunting estates and the species found in them, collaborating in the correct application of the technical hunting plan, drawing up censuses of hunting species and informing the agents of the authority of any infringement related to the hunting reserve.

The project seeks to train 50 recipients, although the project will reach a total of 250 workers, and close collaboration between conservation technicians and agricultural workers that favors biodiversity in their work environments.
