OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to promote job creation and the skills of those professionals who want to focus their professional activity on sustainable tourism. The idea is to generate a space for social interaction that allows the creation of flexible and dynamic products and favors the generation of synergies through the promotion of the sustainable use of endogenous natural, social and cultural resources of the territories.
DESCRIPTION: Currently, there is a generalized increase of the so-called green tourist. This is a fundamentally urban tourist, more in need of contact with the traditional and natural. The territory, its landscape, environmental, cultural and ethnographic quality are sought. The concept of ethnographic tourism, that is, an activity whose principle is to connect two different cultures (those of the visitor and the host), is developing more and more strongly, and is therefore deeply linked to the traditions, customs and particular culture of the people. Circumstances that make it necessary to defend the sustainability of tourist destinations, since it acts as both a resource and a development factor.
To this end, the project proposes a series of training actions in different lines of activity related to the tourism sector. In each community (Canary Islands, Castilla la Mancha, Community of Madrid and Andalusia) there are differences in the actions for the needs detected. These differences are both in the courses offered in each community, as well as in the contents of the training actions, since these are adapted to the environmental and cultural characteristics of the different territories.
