The general objective of “Arquitecturaverde” is to make architecture an environmentally responsible professional activity, which can also contribute to a model of sustainable economic development.

The general objective of “Arquitecturaverde” is to make architecture an environmentally responsible professional activity, which can also contribute to a model of sustainable economic development.

To this end, through the project. The aim is to promote and support green entrepreneurship for the creation and consolidation of new business activities or new lines of business related to architecture. Activities that are sustainable and contribute to the protection of the environment. In this way, it seeks to:

• To offer an alternative to the construction and construction of new housing, thus reducing the negative impacts of this activity.
• To promote and promote new sectors that are favourable to the environment, either by reducing emissions, by making efficient use of energy, by encouraging recycling and the sustainable use of resources, etc.

It is also intended that the target group, made up of senior architects and technical architects, improve their skills to seek professional alternatives through self-employment, in the face of the crisis in the construction sector. For this reason, another objective of the initiative of the Higher Council of Colleges of Architects of Spain is to improve their preparation as business managers, through training, information and advice, so that they can promote their own business initiatives.

The results that will be achieved with the project are:

• Training of 200 recipients, although the initiative will reach a total of 325 workers.
• Creation of 20 new companies or new lines of business in existing companies in green architecture sectors.
• An increase of 10-15% in the number of building and renovation projects that incorporate energy efficiency solutions in homes in the areas of action.
