Green Innovation and Intrapreneurship Program

Empleaverde program

The development of innovation and intra-entrepreneurship skills from an environmental perspective of workers of green companies or those who want to develop green business lines in the Autonomous Communities of Andalusia and Extremadura.

The theme of the project is Innovation and intrapreneurship from the green and circular economy.

In the field of the green economy, reports such asSkills for Green Jobs (Cedefop, 2018) and others stress that the transition to a greener economy requires companies and workers to have the necessary knowledge and skills. And it is not only about technical issues related to green or environmental issues, but also about transversal competences or soft skills. According to a report by the European Environment Agency, innovation is one of the fundamental aspects to create and maintain employment. One of the best ways to promote innovation is the so-called inamprendimiento, a phenomenon on the rise among large Spanish companies, although it is a phenomenon that has not yet reached SMEs with the same intensity. It is conceived as a set of initiatives developed by companies to improve their entrepreneurial capacity, their competitive position and create value. It is essential for the survival and development of companies to develop entrepreneurial activities within an organization, in order to innovate or reformulate the business model from an environmental optimum. A recent study by CISE and Banco Santander (2017) points out the importance of this phenomenon, as 85% of companies agree that intrapreneurship has positive effects on the business and 77% say that this effect translates into increased sales.

To address the above challenges, the Innovation and Intrapreneurship Programme for the Transition to the Green Economy has been designed. It is a programme that contains face-to-face and online training actions, social innovation actions and advice. The project will be developed under a wide range of contents, framed from the green economy and circular economy: energy efficiency, repopulation of the most disadvantaged areas, renewable energies, ecotourism, etc. All this with the aim of linking innovation and intrapreneurship skills to these areas.

5 Programmes will be carried out in 2 different autonomous Autonomous Communities: Extremadura and Andalusia, to reach a minimum of 85 people (17 participants in each of the Programmes).

The percentage of participation of women in the project will be 50%, while the percentage of participation of other priority groups (sum of the rest of the groups except women) will be 45%.
