PROJECT NAME: Green municipalities. Training programme for technicians and municipal service staff in the field of green infrastructure and biodiversity management.
OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to improve the professional training and adaptation to the labor market of technicians and personnel of local entities and workers of service companies in the field of green infrastructure and biodiversity management in urban areas.
THEME: The project addresses the issue of green infrastructures and sustainable management of biodiversity in urban areas and Natura Network spaces.
DESCRIPTION: Within the transition to a green economy there is a growing demand for the compatibility of municipal management with the conservation of its biodiversity in both rural and urban areas, considering it as a provider of services for citizens in all types of human environments. This project aims to increase the professional training of technicians and staff of local entities and workers of service companies in the field of green infrastructure and biodiversity management in urban areas, innovative concepts of growing relevance in this professional field. To this end, a training program is proposed consisting of a cycle of face-to-face thematic courses and an online course to be developed in the 4 Galician provinces, and a mixed course to be developed in Asturias. In addition, the implementation of an advisory service for target workers in Galicia and a social innovation and networking initiative are contemplated.
