To improve the labour insertion of people with intellectual disabilities and other groups at risk of social exclusion, through the acquisition of skills, training and work practice in a strategic sector such as sustainable tourism.
Actions are proposed that are focused on professionalizing and promoting nature tourism based on the principles of sustainability, it also has the added value that it will work transversally on the need to make a more inclusive community in which all people, regardless of their abilities, can have a voice, rights and participation.
It includes on the one hand training activities and on the other hand, being aware of the importance of acquiring real experiences and practical knowledge, incorporation into the labour market through the conclusion of employment contracts.
The training activities that will be carried out will be:
Each of these activities will be taught in the Autonomous Communities of Galicia (Region 2), Extremadura and Andalusia (Region 1) and as a differentiating element we can highlight that in addition to their adaptation to the territory of delivery, the trainings will be adapted to guarantee the participation of people with disabilities.
After receiving the training, 8 participants will be hired for a period of 6 months each, in jobs that will be linked to the trainings received. Thus, the hiring of 4 people as assistants of tourist guides and facilitators of sustainable routes/tourist packages of 4 people in region 1 and 4 people in region 2 is foreseen. In this sense, training will be essential as it will be adapted to the context of the territory and the capacities of the recipients and in it the most relevant aspects of the areas will be learned in order to be able to transmit it in the correct way.
The project is expected to:
1) To obtain the participation of 45 unemployed people.
2) To improve the skills and knowledge of the participants in the field of inclusive ecotourism.
3) To achieve the participation of at least 70% of people with disabilities.
4) To improve the social and personal skills that will facilitate the insertion of participants into the labour market through transversal training.
5) To improve the knowledge of equal opportunities between women and men of the participants through their training.
6) To achieve the employment of at least 8 participants after their participation in the training.
