OBJECTIVE

The project “Lowcarbon Energy: Generating employment and clean energy” aims to carry out a training program for the acquisition of skills to facilitate access to employment for unemployed people in the field of renewable energies, thus promoting a green and circular economy.

DESCRIPTION

The training program “Lowcarbon Energy: Generating Jobs and Clean Energy” focuses on providing participants with skills applied to the current context and aims to increase their employability through the acquisition of new knowledge on the main renewable energy systems and their different types of technologies, deepen their understanding of concepts related to RES-E and energy efficiency, and familiarize them with the legal framework.

The innovative agenda is based on the professional experience of the Low Carbon Economy Foundation and will be based on a number of real best practices to provide a realistic perspective and train participants through case studies that have already been carried out.

Continuity is sought, so that once the financing has been completed, the knowledge generated will be installed in both urban and rural areas, helping to fix the population. Renewable energies and the transition to a circular economy are priorities at the regional, state and European levels, which will help to reinforce the impact of the project’s positive effects.

This project consists of 4 mixed-modality training actions. For its design, the type of installations located in both urban and rural environments (self-consumption, isolated installations and installations connected to the grid) has been taken into account. In the identification and design phase, the training deficit in the sector and the interest and demand arising from the municipalities were taken into account.
