OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to increase the environmental skills of workers who work on the coast and/or whose activities have a direct or indirect impact on it, in order to encourage and promote sustainable tourism.

DESCRIPTION: Tourism is one of the main economic activities in the Mediterranean. Given the economic and social dimension of this sector, and the importance of environmental aspects in the quality of the tourism product, the project provides the target audience with sufficient knowledge to understand the strong links between tourism and the environment. The project proposes training courses for workers involved in tourism-related activities on the coast. They cover diverse topics, focused on promoting the adaptation and/or development of an environmentally sustainable supply. The project is completed with personalized advice on environmental risks to companies in the nautical-recreational sector, in order to encourage the implementation of anti-pollution plans and promote public-private collaboration in the fight against pollution and marine debris.
