MiParqueGlobal is proposed as a pilot experience for the sustainable development of the rural environment in an environment as specific as that of the Maritime Terrestrial National Park of Cabo de Gata-Níjar, Almeria, a project that can be extrapolated to other Protected Natural Areas.

The companies will adopt measures to withstand the disturbances and reorganize themselves, after a phase of change, placing special emphasis on the generation of synergies between them and between the different economic sectors with the greatest presence and impact in this Natural Park: Organic Agriculture and Livestock, Sustainable Tourism and Artisanal Fishing.

The project aims to be a training and meeting platform through which to channel a change of focus in companies that contributes, not only to preserving environmental services and goods, but also to promoting adaptation to Global and Climate Change. In this way, it is intended to train and train workers in the target sectors so that, in the context of mitigation and adaptation to Global and Climate Change, they anticipate its disturbances and know how to take advantage of its opportunities; and to promote adherence to the EmprendeVerde Network to contribute to the sustainability and stability of business activities in the ENP and promote the creation of new green jobs.

The main recipients of the MiParqueGlobal project belong to the economic sectors with the greatest impact, due to their importance and/or vulnerability, in the Maritime-Terrestrial Natural Park of Cabo de Gata – Níjar (Almeria): organic agriculture and livestock, sustainable tourism and artisanal fishing.

With this project, it is expected to train 60 recipients, although the project will reach 1,740 workers, as well as the creation of a green company that generates new products, services, business opportunities and employment within the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Maritime-Terrestrial National Park.
