Nature tourism, agriculture and renaturation training in Adamuz

Empleaverde+ program

The project aims to develop theoretical and practical skills in unemployed people in Adamuz, a municipality in the province of Córdoba affected by rural abandonment and depopulation. Focused on a predominantly agricultural economy, especially in the cultivation of olive groves, and endowed with a rich natural and cultural heritage, the project seeks to capitalize on these resources to promote sustainable tourism.

In this context, problems such as depopulation, the flight of young talent and the difficulty of access to employment, especially for women, will be addressed. The project will use existing infrastructure, such as the network of trails and the interpretation centre of the mountain olive grove, to enrich the tourist offer and promote the ecological transition.

The ultimate goal is to train 10 people to integrate them into the local labor market and promote the economic and environmental development of the area. It is expected to improve access to education and employment, especially for women and vulnerable groups, contributing to gender equality and rural roots. In addition, it seeks to promote the sustainable use of natural, cultural and agricultural resources, enriching the tourism offer and fostering community consensus on a just ecological transition.
