The consumption of organic food in our country has grown a lot and we already occupy the tenth place worldwide. The organic food cooking and sales sector is expected to offer employment opportunities in the near future.
OBJECTIVES: This is a training project in which 4 classroom courses are offered to improve the employability of unemployed people in the catering and organic food sector based on the integration of organic food in the menus and knowledge about new diets and healthier ways of eating.
DESCRIPTION: We propose a theoretical and practical training of 50h for unemployed people with a broad program that allows them to occupy different positions within the kitchen. It is carried out in Andalusia, Canary Islands, Catalonia and Madrid chosen according to the importance of tourism and catering in them as well as the sale of organic food to increase the chances of employment.
During the project there is also a job bank set up to channel the demands of the professionals being trained and the demands of companies in the catering and sales sector. The follow-up and accompaniment of students once they have completed the course is essential to help them enter the labor market.
