This project aims to develop a preventive forest fire management system for different areas of action in Cordoba.

The system is based on a zoning of the territory based on ecological and forestry criteria, regardless of the division into farms of different ownership.

Afterwards, the tasks of coordinating social participation in the prevention of forest fires will be launched, through the creation of the Park of Forest Defense Associations and Local Groups of Prompt Aid.

The preventive management of forest land in the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park has certain complexities, mainly due to the fact that 90% of the park’s land is privately owned. This initiative aims to overcome some of these difficulties.
