OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to update and promote the qualification of port sector professionals and their adaptability to the labor market, in order to maintain their employability and improve their professional progression and growth.
TOPICS: The project encompasses multiple topics, such as technological innovation and renewable energies.
DESCRIPTION: In the sea, activities are developed that require high professional qualification, susceptible to technological innovations in response to adaptation to environmental regulations and conservation measures of particularly sensitive marine areas (Natura 2000 Network, etc.). This adaptation requires workers with knowledge and skills to ensure that processes are in line with blue economy criteria. This has an impact on the improvement of professionalization, the emergence of new sectors and the generation of qualified employment. The project arises from the need to adapt the occupations of maritime-fishing technicians to social, environmental and industrial changes and to promote professional development, contributing to the fulfillment of the Blue Growth Strategy, which is committed to the competitiveness of the port economy and the promotion of professional qualifications, based on social and environmental sustainability.
