The RECAP-CO2 project aims to promote training in carbon agriculture among professionals in the agricultural and livestock sector in Asturias, as a way to mitigate climate change, improve the sustainability of the rural environment and promote economic diversification.
Through a specialised training programme for technical staff of cooperatives and agricultural entities, and subsequent training and advice to producers, regenerative agricultural and livestock practices will be promoted that increase the capacity to capture CO₂ in soils and vegetation.
The project also includes social innovation actions, communities of practice and training in equality and soft skills, seeking a positive impact on agricultural income, climate adaptation, generational renewal and sustainable development of Asturian rural areas.
