ReReef – Ecological restoration techniques with artificial reefs for spaces of the RN 2000, developed by the Marble, Stone and Materials Technology Centre Business Association (CTM), has had the support of the Empleaverde Programme, an initiative launched by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, through the European Social Fund within the framework of the Employment Operational Programme. Training and Education during the period 2014-2020. ReReef is in the Empleazul line of the aforementioned call, as it is aimed at promoting the improvement of employment linked to a sustainable blue economy. This theme is created within the framework of the LIFE IP INTEMARES project, of which the Biodiversity Foundation is the coordinator and which is managed in an integrated way with other community funds such as the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) and the European Social Fund (ESF). The course offered by this project is a free action co-financed by the ESF to achieve quality training and employment.
The objective of ReReef is to increase the skills and qualifications of workers, through theoretical and practical training, for the implementation of ecological reef restoration techniques (habitat 1170 of Directive 92/43/EEC) in the context of the Natura 2000 Network.
The eligible recipients for the training actions of the ReReef project will be workers interested in or related to the marine environment (biologists, environmentalists, biotechnologists, environmental managers, recreational divers or professionals with an interest in conservation, etc.), who wish to be trained in environmental restoration techniques with artificial reefs, learn more about the marine Natura 2000 Network or habitat 1170 of Directive 92/43/EEC.
