rEvolve in Blue

Empleaverde program

rEvolucionate en Azul (rEvA) was born from the idea of training workers, both self-employed and employed, who work in blue economy companies within theNatura 2000 Network is a marine Natura 2000 Network, in different issues related to the sustainable management of its activities, through the self-implementation of Environmental Management Systems and the eco-innovation of processes, with the aim of making its activity sustainable, both in the environmental, economic and social aspects. It is also intended to train workers, in a very practical way, in the different public financing instruments that can finance this transformation, mainly through the European Funds at their disposal, paying special attention to the new financing programmes born as a result of the health crisis caused by COVID-19, such as the Next Generation EU programme. and other lines converted for this purpose; The aim is to improve their skills in the preparation of proposals on environmental, employment and blue entrepreneurship issues for these calls.

The training itinerary of this project is aligned with the projectLIFE IP INTEMARES, specifically in its training strategy, both in its content and in its objectives, also contemplates the cross-cutting objectives of the European Commission for the period 2021-2027, based on the European Green Deal and the Strategy for the Digitalisation of the European economy and society, as well as on the recently created objective, to revive the Union’s economy after the debacle caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. All the material follows the principles and priorities established in the LIFE IP INTEMARES project, as well as in the guidelines of the aforementioned transversal policies.

The development of the materials is also based on the Environmental Education Action Plan for Sustainability of the Third Vice-Presidency and Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge of the Government of Spain.

Special attention is paid to the regions, within the marine Natura 2000 Network, with depopulation problems in each of the Autonomous Communities, to encourage the participation of the workers who reside in them, with the aim of transforming their productive fabric to a sustainable blue economy, which allows them to last over time and attract new population. Work is also being done in the Integrated Territorial Investment (ITI) areas that affect each Autonomous Community, specifically ITI Cádiz, ITI del Mar Menor and ITI Azul (Atlantic façade), which affects the Canary Islands and Andalusia.

An itinerary of independent actions is proposed, in which the beneficiary should ideally participate in all of them, but not necessarily.

Actions to be developed:

It is proposed to carry out a 16-hour face-to-face training called “rEvolución Azul”, whose objective is to train workers in the necessary subjects to implement the sustainable blue transformation in their companies, which will allow them to achieve the objectives set out in this project.

This is followed by aindividualized mixed advice, called “AsesorAzul”, to each of the beneficiaries of the 35-hour program, 10 hours face-to-face and 25 hours online, on the topic they choose, depending on their needs and interests. It is about putting into practice what they learned in the previous activity by carrying out concrete actions in their companies.

It is important to note that this advice is based on the training of workers, and not on the direct development of the products/services to be developed, providing the beneficiaries with sufficient tools and skills to be able to continue, once the action is completed, to manage these internal innovations in their companies. With this we intend to promote intra-entrepreneurship and business autonomy so that they can, in the first person, control their sustainable transformation process.
