OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to increase through training and social innovation actions the employability opportunities in the field of the circular economy and waste management of the project recipients.

THEMES: The project addresses the issues of circular economy and waste management.

DESCRIPTION: The growth of the green economy and the demand for green jobs open up new needs for training and upskilling. This project aims to promote environmental training in circular economy (CE) and waste management for the unemployed in Galicia and Asturias, favouring their employability and improving professional qualifications. CE has the potential to solve environmental challenges, while also opening up business opportunities and economic growth. Achieving these goals requires workers capable of performing new roles and taking on traditional but updated positions.

In the training offer in the area of influence of the project, a gap has been detected in education and training policies that can promote skills that allow maximizing opportunities in this sector. A CV focused on training in CE and waste management will generate opportunities for the creation of green employment, allowing the unemployment rate to be reduced.
