Sustainability today has become an indispensable factor of competitiveness for all companies, a situation that is leading them to reconvert their production processes towards sustainability, which is why the Regulatory Council of the Jamones de Teruel Designation of Origin proposes this project, with the aim of improving the capacities in terms of sustainability, of the professionals who work in the ham industry, throughout its life cycle from farm breeding to distribution.
This training action addresses a transformation of the sector aimed at reducing environmental impacts through an improvement in the management and design of production processes.
The project is aimed at proposing blended learning actions through an e-learning platform. Aimed at increasing the knowledge in sustainability and eco-design of the workers of the companies linked to the Ham value chain (livestock, slaughterhouse, dryer, distribution), with the aim of ensuring the viability of the sector in the future by allowing them to face the environmental challenges of the sector such as from farm to fork, SDGs and European Green Deal.
