OBJECTIVE: To train people in the wine sector

DESCRIPTION: The project is based on a need for generational renewal in the wine sector of the Fuencaliente area. The majority of farmers who currently work the vineyards are over 70 years old and there are already many who, when they retire, have not found anyone to continue with the exploitation, currently leaving many vines in disuse.

Therefore, the wine sector is currently suffering from low production and the impossibility of bringing together several plots of land to make the exploitation more efficient. In addition, the trend indicates that, in a few years, there will be no people who know how to treat this type of characteristic vineyards, putting the survival of the species at serious risk.

The project aims to impact both problems and bet on a strategic improvement in vine cultivation, trying to ensure the short-term future and begin to build the recovery of the species and the wine sector in the area. In addition to the training actions, participants will receive personalized advice.
