Training for field technicians of agricultural cooperatives, CATECOOP- sustainable farms

Empleaverde+ program

The CATECOOP project – Training for field technicians of agricultural cooperatives aims to promote green employment in rural areas through the training and hiring of qualified technical personnel for agricultural cooperatives and agricultural farms.

Through a comprehensive training of 60 hours that combines technical content, equal opportunities and soft skills, the project prepares unemployed people to carry out essential tasks in the agricultural and livestock sector in Asturian agri-food cooperatives.

The initiative is divided into three phases: design of the training and recruitment of participants, execution of the training actions and subsequent hiring of trained people. In addition, a specialized job bank will be created to respond to the labor needs in the sector. CATECOOP will be developed mainly in rural areas, just transition areas and protected areas of Asturias, which will contribute to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the rural environment and to the strengthening of the key role of cooperatives in the territory.
