The project “TRR Profesional: Pioneers in Technical Training in the Circular Economy of Plastics” is designed with a comprehensive approach that combines environmental sustainability, quality technical training and effective socio-labor insertion, especially in rural areas with high unemployment rates.
Its objectives are articulated around three main axes: specialised training, green employment and social inclusion.
To train unemployed people in advanced techniques for repairing, reusing and recycling plastic components, favouring their insertion into the labour market in key sectors of the circular economy and contributing to the reduction of plastic waste in industrial and urban environments.
To provide specialised technical training in the repair of industrial plastic components, applied to sectors such as the automotive industry, urban waste management, industry and logistics, through a programme structured in theoretical and practical modules and transversal skills.
Promote the employability of vulnerable groups, prioritising the participation of women, people over 45 years of age, young people, people with disabilities and residents of rural areas or municipalities in just transition.
To reduce the environmental impact of the use of plastics, promoting the extension of the useful life of components through repair and recycling techniques, with a goal of reducing plastic waste by 30% in the sectors involved.
Guarantee the effective employment of a third of the students, through the direct hiring of 10 participants by Plastweld Repair Systems SL, with contracts financed by 85% of the ESF+.
Develop a replicable and sustainable training model, which can be applied to other territories or sectors, integrating the circular economy approach, equal opportunities and generation of green employment.
To promote local economic development through the creation of direct and indirect employment in services linked to training, sustainable production and technical repair.
To raise awareness and train students in values of sustainability, equity and innovation, reinforcing their role as active agents of change within their communities and future work environments.
To establish the foundations for a permanent training and employment network in the circular economy in Andalusia and Extremadura, contributing to the ecological transition and territorial resilience.
The project has a total duration of 21 months and is structured in four consecutive phases, designed to guarantee comprehensive training and effective job placement:
Syllabus preparation phase (4 months): includes the preparation of the didactic contents, the hiring of the training team and the selection of the students.
Online theoretical training phase (4 months): delivered through virtual platforms, this phase offers a solid foundation on circular economy, plastic repair and recycling, sustainability and equality. It is made up of three modules:
Technician in Repair and Reuse of Plastic Components (476 hours)
Equality in the Circular Economy (16 hours)
Soft Skills (20 hours)
Face-to-face practical training phase (1 month): includes 150 hours of practical training in real workshops, where students will apply the knowledge acquired in a technical and supervised environment.
Employment recruitment phase (12 months): once the training is completed, 10 people are expected to be hired. This contract will be assumed by Plastweld Repair Systems SL, the company promoting the project, and will be 85% financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+). Of these contracts, 7 will be for one year and 3 for six months, allowing participants to gain real experience in the circular economy sector.
The “TRR Profesional” project seeks to generate a real and transformative impact in the field of the circular economy and employability in rural areas. It is expected that, at the end of the project, 30 unemployed people will have received complete and specialized training in techniques for repairing, reusing and recycling plastic components, preparing them to work in key sectors such as automotive, industry, logistics and urban waste management.
One of the main results will be the direct improvement in the employability of these people, many of them belonging to groups with greater difficulties in accessing employment, such as women, people over 45 years of age, young people or people with disabilities. Thanks to the practical and complete design of the programme, a part of the student body will be hired to put into practice the knowledge acquired. In total, 10 participants will be hired by Plastweld Repair Systems SL, with contracts of between six and twelve months, 85% co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
At the environmental level, it is expected that the knowledge acquired and applied by the participants will effectively contribute to reducing the volume of plastic waste generated in the sectors involved by at least 30%. This reduction will be due to the implementation of repair techniques and the extension of the useful life of plastic components, thus reducing the carbon footprint and promoting a more sustainable production model.
The project will also have a positive economic impact on the territory, promoting the creation of green employment and the strengthening of the local business fabric. The generation of indirect jobs in complementary services and an effective transfer of technical knowledge to rural areas is foreseen, thus contributing to economic development and territorial cohesion.
Finally, “TRR Profesional” will lay the foundations for a replicable and sustainable training model, which can be adapted to other territories or industrial sectors. The commitment to sustainability, inclusion and technological innovation will place participants in a strategic position as active agents of change towards a more circular, fair and resilient economy.
