The project aims to encourage truffle farming as a productive alternative in the forestry field with economic viability, since it is a high-quality, differentiated product with a competitive market price. This can contribute to the settlement of the population in rural areas.
The project aims to encourage truffle farming as a productive alternative in the forestry field with economic viability, since it is a high-quality, differentiated product with a competitive market price. This can contribute to the settlement of the population in rural areas.
It is aimed at self-employed workers, settled in the province of Huesca and dedicated to the primary sector, as well asworkers in the service sector and workers who want to dedicate themselves to the marketing and handling of truffles.
The aim is to highlight the potential of this crop in the area, all through the implementation of a dissemination and technology transfer strategy that generates added value and is environmentally sustainable. All this aimed at a more independent rural economy.
It is expected that companies will be created to canning, processing or marketing truffles, as well as new economic activities linked to gastronomic, rural and wine tourism. The project will favour the deseasonalisation of existing tourism, contributing to sustainable rural development.
