OBJECTIVES: “Use wood” Because forests and people matter to us aims to enhance the FSC wood value chain, strengthening the traceability of wood, commercial distribution and its markets, increasing its presence as a structural element in sustainable building and public procurement policies.

In compliance with the timber regulations, for social awareness and for the sake of a green economy and quality employment, the project aims to promote the use of wood from sustainable sources. FSC certification helps companies to be more competitive and have more resources for their business, generating employment and improving the skills of their workers. There is a clear need to increase the presence of wood as a natural, renewable and recyclable material in buildings, both public and private, creating structures that are more resilient to climate change, with greater energy efficiency and greater comfort of the facilities.

DESCRIPTION: The project aims to train and provide knowledge to the sector so that companies and workers can improve their skills, while promoting the use of FSC wood, which entails forest management, which guarantees sustainable and adaptive management practices in the face of the effects of climate change.
