The objective achieved by the project has been the development and consolidation of a methodology at the state level to evaluate the fisheries service in Spain by analysing the existing relationships between aquatic ecosystems; its associated sourcing, regulatory and cultural services; biodiversity, protected natural areas and certain socio-economic variables. Likewise, the project is proposed as an instrument to help in political decision-making, to analyse the different policies that are promoted at European, state and/or regional level in relation to the biodiversity associated with the fisheries service.

The actions carried out have consisted of:

  • Analysis of the relationships between the fisheries supply service, the state of biodiversity, protected areas and socio-economic variables.
