General:
To raise awareness among various audiences about the protection and recovery of marine biodiversity, the Natura 2000 Network, the conservation of biological resources or the limitation of the impact of fishing on the marine environment and its adaptation to the protection of species, among other issues, through innovative strategies, in this case using a robot that will interact with the user. This Robot will travel to various parts of Spain. In addition, other materials will be generated in this project in order to achieve the aforementioned objective such as videos or posters. Digital marketing campaigns will also be carried out.
Specific:
1. Enhancement of European fisheries and aquaculture.
2. Raising awareness of the importance of protecting and recovering marine biodiversity.
3. To improve knowledge in relation to the Natura 2000 Network and protected areas by other tools.
4. Knowledge of the sustainability of fishery and aquaculture practices, processes and products, highlighting the value of products with these characteristics and the efforts of the fishing chain in general to implement environmentally friendly practices.
The activities that are intended to be carried out are:
-Activity 1: Project Image: A specific image (visual identity) will be created for the project as well as a slogan for it.
-Activity 2: A robot in the shape of a person will be rented, equipped with a screen on which you can interact with it and view materials such as videos. Work will be done on the selection of the robot’s content and an itinerary will be created with questions and answers for the person who interacts with it (personalized).
-Activity 3: Corporate uniform for the personnel who accompany the Robot and participate in the project. It will include a shirt and blazer.
-Activity 4: 2 Reports in COMEPESCADO magazine: The COMEPESCADO magazine is a sectoral magazine with a circulation of 1,600 copies that is distributed among FEDEPESCA members and people of interest in the sector.
-Activity 5: Information poster: An informative poster will be made with the visual identity of the Project in infographic format.
-Activity 6: Awareness videos: It is intended to make 2 videos for this Project. Both videos will be uploaded to YouTube and published on Social Networks.
-Activity 7: Specific site: a specific site (tab) will be created in www.pescaverde.org for this project. It will contain all the information related to it, as well as its materials and other relevant information.
-Activity 8: SEM campaign on Facebook Comepescado: FEDEPESCA has several social networks depending on the target audience to which they are intended. Management and Community management tasks will be carried out.
-Activity 9: SEM campaign on Comepescado’s Instagram: FEDEPESCA has several social networks depending on the target audience to which they are intended. Comepescado is a Social Network aimed at the end consumer. Management and Community management tasks will be carried out.
-Activity 10: Communication plan: communication plan to carry out all communication actions in a logical framework and in an orderly and staggered manner with the aim of obtaining maximum productivity in dissemination.
-Activity 11: Press Releases: FEDEPESCA has an important press database accumulated after years of experience carrying out promotional actions in the sector. At the beginning and end of the project, press releases will be prepared and issued informing about the project. From experience we know that they have extensive media coverage.
-Activity 12: Circulars to partners: Sending of 4 Communications to FEDEPESCA partners with information on milestones, results or information on project materials.
-Activity 13: Sending Emails: 4 emails will be sent throughout the 12 months of the project to a database of 2,000 contacts.
-Activity 14: Final day: Final day of presentation of results in Burgos. During this Conference, the main results obtained by the Project will be presented.
-Activity 15: Call for Media: Coinciding with the day of presentation of project results, a call will be prepared and sent to the media and staff of the sector to have the largest possible number of attendees.
-Activity 16: Monitoring report: At the end of the project, a monitoring report will be prepared in which we will include all the achievements in all online media and in the written press as well as the number of people reached.
The development of “The Blue Robot Project” has contributed to obtaining information on the knowledge that society in general has about the activity of fishing, aquaculture and the Natura 2000 Network, as well as to raising awareness in this area.
The project is based on the robot nicknamed “Blue”, with which various itinerant actions have been carried out and aimed at different audiences, especially children.
The robot consists of a tablet equipped with an app that presents a survey with several questions related to the sustainability of aquaculture, fisheries and the Natura 2000 Network. Based on the answers collected, the app detects incorrect answers or lack of knowledge, returning the user to an explanatory video on the specific issue. The response videos were:

To provide information to the citizens who have interacted with the robot, the video Do you know what the Natura 2000 Network is? and an infographic have been made to inform and raise awareness about the importance of protecting marine biodiversity, which also helps to value fishing and aquaculture in Europe, as well as protected areas such as Marine Protected Areas and Natura 2000 Network spaces. 10,000 copies of the infographic were distributed among different Marine Reserves of Fishing Interest:
