This project is an initiative of the Columbares Association to improve the skills and qualifications of workers from different sectors in relation to artisanal fishing and marine biodiversity, promoting the transition to the blue economy, the sustainable management of fisheries resources and the dissemination of the benefits of marine protected areas.
The project includes blended training courses on responsible fish purchasing, sustainable fishing gastronomy and design of environmental education activities for the interpretation of natural heritage in the marine environment and fishing heritage and distance advice for responsible fish purchasing and sustainable fishing gastronomy, in order not only to improve professional skills, but also to improve professional skills. but also to accompany workers in the implementation of the knowledge acquired, thus strengthening its implementation throughout the territory.
The Sea Speaks: Training for the Conservation of the Marine Environment and Fisheries Resources, is in line with the training strategy for managers and users of marine protected areas of the Natura 2000 Network, as it will contribute to increasing information on marine areas and the Natura 2000 Network and the benefits generated by protected areas.
