Raise awareness among society as a whole and journalists, in particular, about the importance of protecting and recovering marine biodiversity, as well as raising awareness of sustainable fishery and aquaculture products. Train journalists and communicators on what sustainable fishing and aquaculture are and what benefits they bring to ecosystems and biodiversity, jobs it generates and associated social fabric, among others.
The organization of 2 training workshops and a thematic day on communication of the sustainability of the Spanish fishing and aquaculture sector is proposed. To this end, there will be communicators and journalists
who are experts in the field who will give talks on how to communicate, and technicians specialized in sustainable fishing who will provide specific training on the subject. MSC, Cepesca
and WWF have been contacted for advice on training on sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, and they have the support of FAPE and the Journalists’ Associations of the different autonomous communities and provinces where the workshops will take place.
In addition, those attending the workshop will visit a fish market or port to see the process of unloading fish, or processing and packaging factory, to be determined in each case, to know in situ how it works

Date and place of celebration: October 2020 to October 2021 in the Valencian Community, Andalusia and Madrid.
