YOUTHFORSEA: Youth for sustainable fisheries

Pleamar program

Description

The project aims to develop awareness-raising actions among young people about the need to promote sustainable fishing practices and environmental approaches for the present and future maintenance of our seas. To this end, a series of actions will be carried out that promote, from an innovative approach, the participation of young audiences in these issues. To achieve this, a three-pronged approach will be carried out: dissemination, the National Competition “Young people for sustainable fishing” and joint training actions between young people and fishermen to learn about good fishing practices and how to protect the ocean. In the case of the contest, it will have several categories and young people in the age range between 13 and 17 years old will be involved. There will also be a day of collection of marine litter.

To achieve the participation of the target audience, a current campaign approach is proposed, in which young people feel identified, through the use of social platforms and attractive elements for them (musical format, audiovisual, etc.).
