Urban renaturation of Valdepeñas for the benefit of people, biodiversity and the climate (Valdepeñas)

FEDER

The project is part of the Valdepeñas Urban Renaturation Plan, which identifies the main problems of the city, such as the heat island effect, the scarcity of trees and green areas and the low levels of biodiversity, proposing nature-based solutions to mitigate them. Based on this preliminary analysis, the project aims to intervene in more than 60 hectares distributed in different areas of the municipality, in order to integrate biodiversity in the city and improve its adaptation and mitigation of climate change.
