PRTR Call for Proposals Project
DESCRIPTION: The project aims to provide assistance to any specimen of sea turtle, cetacean and seabird that requires veterinary attention anywhere on the Catalan coast, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The objective is to ensure the rehabilitation of the specimens in the shortest possible time for their subsequent reintroduction into the natural environment. At the same time, the project proposes a reinforcement of fishing awareness already undertaken by the CRAM Foundation throughout its more than 20 years of history, and reinforced in the last 5 years (2017-2021) in the Ebro Delta area, as it is the region with the greatest fishing interaction and sea turtles, obtaining very good results. And, finally, it undertakes actions to disseminate the project with the aim of publicizing its actions in favor of the conservation of the marine environment, and raising awareness in society about the great biological wealth of the seas and oceans and about the threats to marine biodiversity.

At the same time, the strengthening of fishing awareness in the Ebro Delta area and dissemination and awareness actions are proposed. In general, SERVIMAR seeks to assist, recover and reintroduce into the natural environment, specimens of threatened marine fauna that appear with injuries or pathologies anywhere on the Catalan coast.
