Caña a la caña addresses the conservation and rehabilitation of riparian ecosystems in a basin approach (14 linked municipalities of the lower Júcar basin). Through the application of Nature-based Solutions such as control and management of Invasive Alien Species (IAS), riverbank restoration, stabilization of banks, bioengineering, removal of infrastructures, etc., the aim is to promote the resilience of these ecosystems against episodes of floods and floods.

Some of the actions contemplated are:

• Management and control of invasive alien species.
• Management, control and recovery of native vegetation.
• Transformation of cultivation areas as river space.
