The Province of Granada has 6,765 km of rivers, and according to the diagnosis made in the Hydrological Plan of the Guadalquivir Demarcation 2016/2021, the state of the surface water bodies of Granada (considering the chemical and ecological states) is “good” in 64.6% of the rivers, compared to 35.4% (more than 2,300km of rivers in the province) that are in a deficient state.
