PRTR Call for Proposals Project
The objective of MEDCONECTA is to outline a network of green corridors that maximise the spatial coherence of the green infrastructure, identifying the levels of conservation or restoration required by the areas included in them, to ensure the functionality of the system.

Taking into account that functional transfers between ecosystems tend to occur more easily if the intermediate space has similar properties, MEDCONECTA will test an algorithm in the southeast of the peninsula, using information from Andalusia, the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community in the field of Green Infrastructure (IV) that will be combined with the identification of restoration or management actions under the IUCN Nature-based Solutions standard. The project includes a component of participation with the technicians and managers of the environment. The results will provide a technical basis to regulatory authorities for the integrated development of IV that favor the mitigation of climate change impacts, disaster prevention and biodiversity loss.
