PRTR Call for Proposals Project
The objective of the “Nodo de Hábitas” project is the renaturalization of a space occupied by the old inert landfill of the city. The result will be a peri-urban forest of more than 18 hectares where actions will be carried out to promote biodiversity that will be compatible with a respectful use of this new green area, key to connectivity with spaces of high natural value that surround the urban area.

€3,608,315.18It includes actions in terms of accessibility, sociability, promotion of biodiversity of flora and fauna, improvement of blue infrastructure, etc. This new large carbon sink will be a decisive node for the health of citizens, the city and the surrounding ecosystems.
- Environmental restoration of eroded areas, smoothing of slopes and management of waste surfaced in the old landfill.
- Plantations, installation of elements to promote biodiversity and creation of micro-ponds.
- Improvement of the social use of space through universal accessibility.
