The general objective of the project is to valorise obsolete fabrics that do not adapt to market requirements, due to their technical characteristics or because they are outdated in terms of fashion. This will be achieved through industrial research into different sustainable processes: pigment dyeing, tie-dye dyeing, printing, application of functionalising finishes, manufacture of new fabrics with recycled tape-based yarns and folding of fabrics to obtain multi-layer fabrics. This research will make it possible to establish an efficient recovery system, according to the type of obsolete fabrics, with which to add added value and give them a place in the textile market again as fabrics of great aesthetic and/or technical value. As a result, they propose the inclusion of recycled material in their garments, which can reach 100% in some cases; to obtain 6 products with eco-design criteria; the reduction of the amount of tissues that end up in landfill and reducing the number of products of this type that reach landfill by more than 15,000 t (estimate based on data from the literature).
