PRTR Call for Proposals Project

The project contemplates the renaturalization and recovery for citizens of the urban river section of the Tines River, through the creation of an environmental reorganization and integration strategy that includes the improvement of the river promenade, the promotion of the biodiversity associated with the river, the recovery of the riverside forest, the cleaning and maintenance of the river channel, the elimination of potentially problematic invasive and exotic species.

Renatur_Outes proposes the recovery of the riparian forest and the naturalization of the surface of the river promenade of the Tines river in its urban section, in addition to the elimination of transversal barriers to recover the fluvial continuum (elimination of plastics, waste and invasive species or recovery of biodiversity in open spaces). The project includes the acquisition of properties adjacent to the river to recover stretches of river vegetation and the creation of the natural riparian forest at its interface with the climatophilous oak grove of the area.

Some of the actions included in this project are:

  • Creation of a multidisciplinary working committee
  • Creation of the Renaturation and Flood Risk Reduction Strategy.
  • Creation of the Strategy for Environmental Reorganization and Integration.
  • Promotion of the biodiversity associated with the river.
  • Improvement of the river promenade in its urban section.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of the riverbed.
  • Elimination of potentially problematic invasive and exotic species.
  • Environmental awareness and sensitization of the citizens of Outes.
