The University of Granada has carried out the first national analysis of the economic effects of climate change on the construction sector, through the project “Development and application of cost-benefit analysis methodologies in the adaptation to climate change of the construction sector in Spain”, which has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation and the main professional associations in the sector.
In this project, the most recommended technical measures to build homes in the face of climate change certainty and their economic implications have been studied. Two free web applications have been developed that allow us to know the main measures for adaptation to climate change and their degree of popularity among the experts consulted, as well as to estimate the costs and benefits of their implementation.
