The project consists of the development of activities linked to the recovery of underused urban or rural land to turn it into a support for biodiversity by making room for native agricultural and livestock varieties.

The project consists of the development of activities linked to the recovery of underused urban or rural land to turn it into a support for biodiversity by making room for native agricultural and livestock varieties.

The dynamization, promotion and custody of initiatives for the recovery and conservation of land and varieties will be carried out by the leadership of local administrations. These will be in charge of creating a network and a bank of land that will be offered for agroecological initiatives, seeking to articulate a “market” of cessions of use, conditioned to agroecological uses and that preserve agricultural and livestock biodiversity.

The main objective of the project is the recovery of the agroecological use of underused land and plots, whether urban or rustic, rebuilding the agrarian culture and promoting the conservation of plant varieties and native livestock breeds.

The aim is to offer public and private land to agroecological initiatives, for which it is planned to draw up an inventory of land and a catalogue of good agroecological practices and uses, with the aim of creating a pool of offers of agroecological land in the four territories of the network, and then extending this experience to neighbouring municipalities. favouring the recovery of edaphic, agricultural and livestock activity and biodiversity.

The results will be visible through an online management tool, which will connect supply and demand and generate networks of experiences and agroecological initiatives, in addition to managing qualified professional opinion spaces.
