The project aims to identify possible future climate scenarios, and how they may affect municipal resources in order to propose solutions.

The Carmona City Council has launched the project “Carmona Climate Change Adaptation Plan”, with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, in which the previous climatic variations and the scenarios that could occur in the future in the municipality have been studied.

These data have helped to better identify the climate impacts that will be suffered more locally and, during the participatory process, after analysing both the vulnerability and the risk of disrupting various pre-established municipal sectors, proposals for adaptation measures were developed. Aspects such as the resources needed to carry them out and the government’s capacity to specify the 29 measures that have finally been included in the Action Plan were considered of these measures.
