Biodiverciudad is an initiative that aims to raise awareness of urban biodiversity, both to the general public and to infant and primary school children.
The objectives are to provide information on urban biodiversity and the challenges that exist in terms of its conservation to the general public and students, as well as to infant and primary school teachers.
The initiative aims to bring urban biodiversity closer to children in an enjoyable and fun way, through workshops and guided tours called “ecosafaris” to parks and green spaces, which will take place in the cities of Madrid, Barcelona and Lleida.
Another aim of the project is to increase the involvement of citizens of all ages in the protection and improvement of urban biodiversity, through the implementation of micro-projects and local actions called “eco-initiatives”.
