It develops its activities in Seville, with the aim of offering a meeting point between science and citizens, promoting all kinds of activities of dissemination, training, education and social awareness.

The result of a joint initiative of the BIodiversity Foundation and the Spanish National Research Council, the Biodiversity Forum is located in the Patio de Banderas of the Reales Alcázares de Sevilla and has an area for exhibitions and live connection rooms with an Iberian lynx captive breeding centre at the Doñana Biological Station.

The Hall of Continents, which hosts the exhibitions, is completely digital. It is equipped with high-definition screens that display the photographs and images of the exhibition and, in this way, no paper is used and it is not necessary to print panels for each exhibition.

There is also a space for the cinema forum “Science … action!”, in which a film, documentary or reports of scientific or environmental content is screened every week.
