The “Biodiversity from diversity” project promoted by the Association in Favor of People with Intellectual Disabilities (APROSUBA9) consists of environmental volunteering that seeks to promote access to and enjoyment of the environment by those groups that present greater difficulties due to their functional diversity.
To carry out this initiative, different activities will be carried out, including; the dissemination of the programme, the recruitment and training of volunteers and the development of theoretical-practical workshops, as well as complementary workshops. The project also includes the evaluation of the ecological status of the rivers in the region that are part of the Natura 2000 Network, as well as conservation and reforestation improvement actions. Other actions that are part of the initiative are the execution and adaptation of tree pits, elimination of weeds, supplementary irrigation and removal of garbage and debris. Finally, a final report and informative material of the project will be prepared and the results obtained will be presented through information days for all participants.
