Blue Trails Network: a tool for management, education and leisure on the coast

MITECO

This project aims to promote the Blue Trails Network as a management, education and leisure tool on the coast.

The project “Blue Trails Network: a tool for management, education and leisure on the coast” aims to promote this network as a coastal management tool, with the intention of promoting conservation, knowledge and leisure in the municipalities of the coastal environment. In addition, the initiative will serve to promote and improve knowledge of its environmental problems.

The Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC) has launched this project to create a coherent Blue Trails Network and reissue the Blue Trails Interpretation Guide with new criteria for inclusion and exclusion of the Network. On the other hand, the creation of a mobile application in which it is possible to interpret each of the Trails will be promoted. Good practices will also be published on the website.

To this end, a series of activities have been launched focused on the structuring of the Network and its promotion and knowledge. These include:

  • Control visits to the Blue Trails Network in coordination with municipal technicians
  • Review and reformulation of the Network’s inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Management of suggestions and complaints received through the application and social networks
  • Launch of a call for Blue Trails to present new awards
  • Call for events or actions to encourage user participation and development
