Promoting adaptation and the protection of human health in the face of the incidence of climate change, particularly in the economic sectors most vulnerable to its impacts, through different training, information and awareness-raising actions is the goal for which the Trade Union Institute of Labour Foundation – ISTAS has launched this project in collaboration with the Biodiversity Foundation. This need arises from the latest data from the World Health Organization, which indicates that around 150,000 deaths were caused by climate change in 2000 and an increase of 250,000 deaths per year is expected by 2040.

To meet its objective, theForum on Climate Change and Health at Work as well as an awareness day on “Climate Change and Human Health”. Both events will serve to produce a dossier with the most relevant conclusions that will be disseminated together with the results of the project as a whole.
